Day Nine
Last full day - Backpack from Mae's Lake
to last camp (~1/2 mile from Big Sandy Trailhead)

Even though I had an eleven mile backpack out,
I was slow to leave this beautiful camp.

The next morning it was only a short walk down the Big Sandy River to the trailhead.
Last photograph before curling up in my sleeping bag,
to the sound of elk bugling in the meadow .
Skull Lake
This would have been a beautiful lake for camping.
Upper Washakie Creek
The Shadow Lake Trail climbs up this valley to Texas Lake.
It would have made for an inviting extra day.
